She was invited to participate in the Cecchetti ballet Standards exams while she was dancing in the Recreational Division. In 2007 Giulia got accepted into the Ballet Intensive Training Program where she continued to study the Cecchetti syllabus for 5 years. She completed her Grade 6, Intermediate and Advance 1 exams and took 2 years for Advance 2 level classes.
During those 5 years, Giulia had the pleasure of taking ballet workshops that were taught by number of professional dancers from the Royal Winnipeg Ballet Company, such as Jo-Ann Sundermeier and Stéphane Léonard.
Giulia had the honour of studying under choreographer Patti Caplette who choreographed a number of dances and was given the opportunity to perform at a Gala for the opening of the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport. While at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Giulia was exposed to different styles of dance such as Jazz, Modern, Tap, Character and Spanish.
