Brittany Jackson

Brittany began her passion for dance at the age of five under the direction of Lucy Reveco. After her initial training in jazz, she joined the L.A Dance Academy Elite Performance Dance Team and added ballet, hip hop, lyrical, variety, and cheer to her repertoire. At the age of 18, Brittany joined the Explosion Dance Team and continued her dance training and education.

Throughout her time with the L.A Dance Academy Performance Dance Teams, Brittany has had the opportunity to attend various conventions and workshops, some of which include; Triple Threat Dance Convention, ‘In the Zone’ Hip Hop Competition and The PULSE Dance Convention. These opportunities allowed for the experience of working with world renowned choreographers such as Tyce Diorio, Laurieann Gibson, Gil Duldulao, Desmond Richardson, Dave Scott, Brian Freedman, Mia Michaels, Chris Judd and many more.

Brittany’s love and passion for performance has been rewarded with recognition and credits earned through competition and participation at various events, including, Manitoba Provincial Dance Festival, The Manitoba Children’s Museum “Way off Broadway”, and The Children’s Wish Foundation “Celebrity Lip Sync”, to name a few. A particular highlight occurred in 2009, at PULSE Toronto, where Brittany was awarded a scholarship for her performance in a Chris Judd piece.

In a continued effort to enrich her experience in dance, Brittany continues to take classes in jazz, hip hop, ballet and pointe at L.A. Dance Academy. She is extremely excited as she begins her foray into teaching at the studio after many years of training and assisting.

Brittany continues to uphold her love of dance as a solid anchor in the maintenance of a balanced life style, while she completes her Integrated Honours Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education at the University of Winnipeg.
